Site Management Safety Training Scheme
This SMSTS course helps managers and supervisors be able to:
implement all health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation which affects them during their daily work, implement new guidance and industry best practice, state their duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment.
This is a 5-day course and will be delivered by our accredited CITB tutors.
Who should attend?
This course is designed for site managers, agents and persons who are, or are about to be, responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff and workforce.
Day 1 will include:
Health & Safety: Facts and figures, accident prevention. Health & Safety system in the UK
The Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regs.
Health and Safety and the manager
Implementing health & safety legislation
Day 2 will include:
Management of contractors
The working environment
Working at Height
Health & Safety Management for plant, equipment and systems of work
Day 3 will include:
Managing construction health risk
Monitoring Health & Safety
Day 4 will include:
Communication and co-operation
Construction Health & Safety
Day 5 will include:
Debrief and discussion of Exercise 4 and presentation of material
