How do I get an Operatives CSCS Card?

How do I get an Operatives CSCS Card?

In July 2014 the rules for obtaining and renewing an Operatives (GREEN) CSCS Card were changed.

Labourers CSCS Green Card

So how do you get the CSCS card?

You need to have successfully passed one of the following:

You can book either course with us, we would suggest that the CITB course is more relevant to you if you are intending to work on a construction site.

H&S Touch screen test

This must be taken to gain the CSCS Operatives card, you can take the touchscreen test before or after the CITB or IOSH courses, it doesn’t matter.

Once you have completed one of the above courses you can apply for your card. It is best to wait 48 hours from completing the one day course so that your CSCS file can be updated.

The CITB one day course is valid for five years and you will receive a certificate to prove you have taken the course and been successful.

Some major construction companies are also insisting on this course before allowing you on site – so this is a very useful course to have under your belt and could give you the edge over someone else when applying for a job or starting on a new site for a Major Contractor
